This Week
I have been wroking on creating a vertex shader network in UDK for my road mesh. This has been extremely successful, I have managed to create a shader that allows me to paint mud onto my grass, and i can then control the blending between the mud and another texture such as some rock or other type of mud using a different colour channel.
I also began painting the terrain in UDK using multiple different channels and blending between them. I have hit a problem though, once you get to 4 layers in the terrain editor you can't add any more layers in, so i'm going to have to look into some more advanced tutorials to set up a more advanced terrain shader.
Next Week
I need to look into more advanced terrain painting as well as create autobot city so that I can finish the basic terrain sculpt ready for the alpha presentation.
